• What is the main idea of this article?
• The main idea of the article is to show that cyberbullying should be stopped and it is a cruel thing to do. Cyberbullying can have harmful effects.
• List at least four effects of bullying as described in the article.
• 1. It can have a negative impact on academic performance.
• 2. It can have a negative impact on self-esteem.
• 3. It can have a negative impact on  mental and  physical health.
• 4.  Children who are victims are more likely to commit suicide.
• Have you ever experienced or observed bullying in any form? Remember this could be cyberbullying by phone, facebook or webpage. Describe your experience and your response to it.
• I have never personally experienced bullying but a couple of weeks ago i have seen on the news that a girl who lived not far from me was experiencing bullying in school and she couldn't handle it anymore, so she jumped in front of a bus and committed suicide. I think bullying should be stopped it is cruel and there is no need for it. It can be 100% prevented.

Assignment 2

What is the author's purpose in writing this article?
- The purpose of this article is to tell us more about genetic testing. It can be beneficial but at the same time people can start taking advantage. I believe this article is also trying to get a point across that genetic testing can be good to a certain extent and it shouldn't be taken advantage of.


Name one reason that the issue of "genetic privacy" may lead to an ethical dilemma.
- A spouse requesting a genetic evaluation of her fiance before getting married. It's not morally desirable. 


Do YOU think parents should be able to genetically "design" their children? Why or why not?
- I don't think parents should be able to "design" their children. It is definitely not natural, you should be able to love your child no matter what and not be materialistic about it. If you believe you need to "design" your child then in my opinion you are not ready to be a parent.

Assignment 1

I am a visual learner. Being a visual learner helps me better in school because I do better in quizes and tests. Some strategies that are helpful to me highlighting and making index cards, also note taking.

Hello, my name is Fiana. This is my first semester at NYIT, and so far I like the school a lot. I live in Staten Island, so it currently takes about two hours to travel to school, but I somehow manage and hope to move to Long Island soon.
